We created an elegant outdoor kitchen & dining space for a Westwood, MO family to cook and entertain!

An existing brick patio made the perfect setting for this beautiful new space. A concrete slab and footings were poured to accommodate the weight of the kitchen islands and roof. Care was taken to unify the new kitchen to the original 1934 home by building a pergola to literally bridge the gap between the two structures, choosing pillars to match the existing architecture of the home. A new paver walkway inlaid into the older brick patio ushers guests in from the driveway. 

Lighting under the pergola and gazebo allow events to stretch well into the evening hours.  What happens at most parties? Everyone ends up in the kitchen! A bar height counter was built to keep family & friends comfortable with conversation flowing smoothly between hosts and guests.

No outdoor kitchen is complete without fire. The homeowners chose a Fire Magic 30″ built-in natural gas grill, a double side burner & Big Green Egg. 

Now the backyard is a popular family gathering place for al fresco dining, patio parties, and fun fall cook-outs. 

Queso, the family’s beloved pet, agrees! The new outdoor kitchen is now the main destination for this busy St. Louis family.
